Dr. Finlay is a distinguished pediatric oncologist who has dedicated his career to advancing the care and treatment of children with cancer.
He received his early education at Carmel College, Wallingford, before attending Birmingham University, where he earned a B.Sc(Hons.) in Biochemistry and an MB, ChB. Dr. Finlay’s passion for pediatric oncology was ignited during his senior residency at the Christie Hospital and Holt Radium Institute under Dr. Patricia Morris-Jones. His extensive training included fellowships in Pediatric Immunology and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Finlay has held prestigious faculty positions at renowned institutions such as Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and New York University. He has served in leadership roles, including Vice-Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Director of Pediatric Oncology Programs at NYU and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the Audrey and Billy Wilder Chair in Neuro-oncology. Dr. Finlay’s contributions to pediatric oncology have been significant, and his dedication to his patients is unparalleled.
